Halloween

I was a little unsure of how Halloween was going to go this year. I remembered back to Isaac's second Halloween and he wasn't the most cooperative little one at all. Thankfully, Layla was a bit better and perhaps it was because she had a big brother to watch and see how it was done. Whatever the reason, I'm thankful! We really didn't do a lot of trick-or-treating because they are still pretty small and getting Layla in and out of a carseat over and over is no easy task. We ended up going to the Trick-or-Trunk event held at the Hopewell Baptist church. Various church members bring their vehicles to the church parking lot and decorate them for Halloween and give out candy. That way, the kids still get the experience of going around and saying trick or treat, but they are in a good, family oriented environment and aren't on the streets, which suits this Mama just fine!

Isaac was our transformer Optimus Prime and Layla was our little pumpkin girl.
(Don't know if you can tell in the photos or not, but Layla was introduced to Dum Dum suckers this Halloween and she is now a huge fan!)
