Daddy's Helper

Any time Darren is out in the shop or out in the yard doing work, he has a little mini-me that wants to help right along with him.

I'm so thankful that Darren takes the time let Isaac help out with little projects and things. I know it may  hinder him and end up taking him longer to complete, but it can't compare with the memories that are being made. One day, I hope Isaac will look back on these times with happiness and a smile.
I know I will.....

Easter 2012

Isaac and Layla woke up Easter morning to some goodies from the Easter Bunny! They were both pretty pumped about the chocolate and wanted to dive in immediately, but we were finally able to negotiate a deal.

After plundering through their goodies, it was time to get dressed and ready for church. Of course, Mommy had to have plenty of time for pictures too! They weren't the most cooperative kids, but they did pretty good and I think I still ended up with some great shots.

Unlce Derek and Aunt Jill also happened to be in for the weekend so I was able to get a shot of the three Howard boys after church.....

...and the lone Howard baby girl.

Playhouse Fun

The playhouse that is in our backyard isn't just your average playhouse. Darren, being the handyman that he is, decided he didn't want to pay the huge price for the ready-made version from Lowe's and so he bought all the materials and with some help from his Dad, made our very own playhouse in our back yard. There was a lot of time and effort put into contructing this, but it has been well worth it all. The kids just love it and play on it on a regular basis.
Thank you Daddy and PawPaw!

Bath Time and TuTus

Bath time is something I have always enjoyed with both of my babies. It's the time of day when we all start winding down and it seems to be the time I can share with them that is just "our" time. Layla has always enjoyed her baths and usually only puts up a bit of a fight when it's time to get out!

I just LOVE these big 'ole eyes!

This little outfit was to cute not to share. I found these pants at Target and this is Layla's first official tutu and she loves it!

This is her version of "Cheese"!!
I also want to document that at the tender age of 18 months, Miss Layla knows her colors, can count to 10, and can also sing her ABC's!

Siblings

One evening, I noticed that the kids had gotten very quiet which if you have kids, you know this is a huge warning sign that they are probably up to something. I tiptoed down the hall to Isaac's room and when I peeked in, this is what I saw.

What a relief! They were watching cartoons together, which just completely melted my heart.

Isaac just adores his baby sister and she looks up to him so very much. Dear Lord, thank you so much for blessing Darren and I with the most amazing children. May you lead us and guide us so that we may raise them both to be good Christian adults.
I don't know what I'd do without these two!

New Do's

After her bath one night, Darren decided to give Layla a mowhawk. Problem is, Little Missy still doesn't have an abundant amount of hair to work with.
Nevertheless, it still turned out pretty cute!

And of course, Isaac was helping Daddy with her "do" too.
He doesn't look guilty at all, does he??

Having Fun

As you can tell, it doesn't take much to entertain these 2 at our house...

...and of course whatever her big brother does, she is right behind him doing the same.

I just love these 2 babes more than they will ever know!
